What is Pilates?
Pilates is a physical fitness system created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.
Joseph Pilates believed that mental and physical health were interrelated and so created a system of exercises intended to strengthen the human mind and body.

Pilates puts emphasis on correct body alignment, breathing, developing a strong core and improving co-ordination and balance.
When practised consistently Pilates will:

develop control and endurance

improve flexibility
